My brother used to say, “if you’re going to be particular, you’d better be specific!” For a type-A planner, this was revelatory. It gave permission to be as particular as I wanted, so long as I provided the specifics needed to make it a reality. It’s a mantra that has shaped my approach to life!

I created Specifically Particular Events after years spent in the wedding industry. I often noticed how guests appeared nervous, bored, or even disconnected. There’s an implicit mandate for guests to enjoy themselves without any specific prescription to ensure that’s actually possible.

Convinced there must be a better way, I began to research traditions and rituals from around the world. I found that when guests have a pathway toward meaningful connection, they leave more fulfilled and with a truly memorable experience to look back on. I believe that every gathering should feel that way… because life is short and deserves to be celebrated!
